It can be tough to look fashionable or even feel it when you have to bundle up before heading out doors. The good news is that fashions change and so do fabrics so we are able to find some must-have staples for our winter closet that are great looking and let you feel good wearing them. We all have our favorite pieces in our wardrobe that we turn to time and again. Here are our top 5 must-have winter fashion items for this season.

Comfortable Clogs: Clogs have been around for hundreds of years and they are one of the best footwear choices when it comes to comfortable casual wear. These days, you can find genuine leather comfort clogs that will last you for many years when you properly take care of them. Look for clogs in your classic black, chocolate brown, dark gray, navy blue or dark burgundy in color. They will mix-n-match with a lot of items you already have in your winter wardrobe.

Winter Boots: If you live in a cold part of the country, you’ll want to invest in a good pair of comfortable and warm snow boots. If you live in a warmer area of the country, select a lighter-weight flat-sole boot that comes mid-calf to right below the knee. Don’t forget to pick up some trendy boot socks and knitted leg warmers too!

Puffer Vest: Puffer coats and jackets blasted onto the fashion scene a few years ago and now their popularity has moved into the “vest” world. Look for a puffer vest in a metallic color or go for any brightly-colored solid. Vests are a great way to stay warm during the winter and you can add a pop of color to your outfit by adding a vest. Plus they can work as a layering piece too!

Over-Sized Scarf: You’ll want to purchase at least two over-sized scarves this fashion season. These scarves can be worn around your neck to help keep you warm or worn to make a fashion statement. A good scarf can double as an evening-wear wrap, shawl, folded up to be a belt or pinned together to form a trendy vest.

Athletic Suit: Comfortable athletic wear (sometimes called yoga wear) is all the rage this season! Every woman needs at least two athletic suits in their weekend wardrobe. When buying athletic wear, avoid jogging suits of yesteryear! Your athletic suit should be semi-fitted and have a matching or coordinating top. If buying separates, it’s best to purchase both of your pieces on the same shopping trip, to make sure your outfit matches or coordinates well together. Avoid purchasing boxy-style tees and elastic ankle sweatpants! They are so yesterday!

These 5 pieces are easy to wear, look great, and you will be so comfortable in them too! Make sure to swing by our clog page and see what’s new for this season!
