How to Wear Clogs During the Winter Season

Just because the weather outside is wet and cold, that doesn’t mean you need to put your clogs away. If you live in an area of the country that gets very cold, along with snow, sleet and freezing rain, you can still wear a higher chunky heel, like a clog offers you, which will help keep your feet off the cold, wet ground. We have some great tips to help you wear and fashion those leather clogs during the cold, wet winter season so you will look great, and most importantly, stay warm!

How to Wear Clogs During the Winter Season

  • The best choice for winter is a closed back clog. But if you only have open back clogs, no worries! Just purchase wool socks, thick cotton socks, or textured-heavy hosiery to wear along with them to keep those toes warm.
  • Another cool trend that we’re seeing with the younger ladies is sporting around open-toe clog sandals during the winter season while wearing brightly colored and patterned toe socks! Such a youthful, modern and trendy-look with a lot of personality and style.
  • If you’re worried about keeping your legs warm, invest in a few pairs of trendy leg warmers. Wear the leg warmers over-the-top of your straight leg pants and jeans. This will give the appearance that you’re wearing ankle boots underneath! Leg warmers also look very trendy when worn over tights and paired up with a longer-length dress or skirt.
  • Boot socks are another trend that we’re seeing this season. Although they’re made for wearing with boots, we’ve seen a lot of stylish women wearing them around with their clogs! Boot socks are available in below-the-knee, above-the-knee and thigh-high styles.
